I apologize for the quality of this clip but there was no other one available. You can hear Princess Diana’s laughter in the background and just had to post it❤️ To this day I’m still saddened by the fact that She’s no longer with us💔 May9, 1986.
Omg! I just reached 30K followers❤️ Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart❤️ Love you all❤️❤️❤️
The beautiful Spencer Tiara belongs to the family of the late Princess Diana but it was worn so often by her that some people assume it is a royal piece.
Though this piece was once said to date from the 18th century it actually seems to be a combination of pieces varying in ages and from different jewellers.
The tiara has gone through several changes over the years, The centre element was a wedding gift from Lady Sarah Spencer to Cynthia Viscountess Althorp (Diana’s grandmother) in 1919.
This piece was remounted by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company at some point and Garrard was asked to create four matching pieces in 1937 to add on.
The oldest bits are at the ends these are said to have come from a tiara once belonging to Frances Viscountess Montagu, The full current appearance of the tiara dates from around 1935.
The tiara includes diamonds in silver settings mounted in gold which are in various floral shapes including tulips, star shaped flowers and scrolling foliage.
It was worn by both of Lady Diana's older sisters, Jane and Sarah at their weddings before it made its famous debut at Diana’s wedding to Charles in 1981.
As the Princess of Wales, Diana continued to wear her family’s tiara, The Queen had given Diana the Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara to use but the Spencer Tiara was lighter and easier to wear, Diana also wore the Spencer Tiara to show her pride for her own family, The tiara never belonged to Diana she borrowed it from her father and then her brother.
The borrowing arrangements for this magnificent piece have long been rumored to have been the source of some family tensions👑
Catch me LIVE Today on Instagram at 11am EST as I open up about my divorce. How a marriage that was suppose to be "happily married" quickly turned into mentally abusive one and at times physical abusive one.
Yesterday we visited Kensington Palace, after becoming members of @historicroyalpalaces This membership means we can return as often as we like to beautiful Palaces such as Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace, to name just two...and all for just a few more pounds than the entry price for one of them.
This image shows the grandeur and beauty of the King’s Grand Staircase, leading to the apartments of King William III and Mary II, who became joint Monarchs in February 1689. They commissioned Christopher Wren to expand Nottingham House into the Palace we see today...
Within Kensington Palace is the most beautiful and moving (emotional!) tribute to the late Princess Diana.
On show are a selection of her gowns, along with quotes from her and about her...
Take tissues if you are that way inclined to a tear or two...🤔
I loved this quote from her, referring to her decision to forego wearing hats on hospital visits to see the children...
💕”You couldn’t cuddle a child with a hat on...”💕
In our hearts forever...
