In La Paz, Bolivia there's a very special job where you have to dress like a zebra to teach vial education to drivers and pedestrians. Part of their job is to be kind and polite and happy, they really brighten up the whole city with a great spirit!
...and as the crowds gathered to await their fate, a light washed over our skin and illuminated the darkness. Our lives flashed before our eyes. Our choices became clear.
But we'll never know of the life we didn't choose. "We'll only know that whatever that sister life was, it was important and beautiful and not ours. It was the ghost ship that didn't carry us. There's nothing to do but salute it from the shore." And the light started to fade. Where once darkness receded, once again it consumed. Our silhouettes would mark proof of this, and of ourselves. "We all make choices.
But in the end...our choices make us."
