I started Crossfitting two years ago today. And I still have no clue what I am doing.
But honestly, I think I have done more "unlearning" in the last two years than I did "learning." I unlearned how to exercise in solitude. How to exercise out of a feeling of obligation. How to exercise so my pants will fit.
I unlearned how to think of my body as insufficient. I unlearned how to think of my body as a never ending work in progress.
Every day I ask my body to learn something new, try something scary, to be humbled. The biggest thing I have taken away from the last two years is an immense sense of gratitude for the privilege of exercising with my buddies, in a body that won't quit on my mind, even after years of my mind quitting on my body.
